The EMC remote network solution provides cable operators with a cost effective way to extend the reach of their HFC network to remote households The EMC optical node extender is designed to provide classical TV and DOCSIS based services over fibre to remote households while eliminatIng the need of active RF amplifiers and at same time all costs associated with deploying and servicing outside cabinets. At the subscriber’s home a termination device incorporating the fibre splicing module performs the signal conversion in both directions.
